SOO SD40-2 #6606

A brand new Kato SD40-2 had been disassembled, sandblasted. Detail parts have been added :
- BLMA grab irons

- BLMA fans

- BLMA cut levers

- BLMA rear fan grab iron

- GMM lift rings

- GMM cab shades

- GMM windshield wipers

- GMM air hoses

After masking and painting custom printed decals have been applied. An airbrush was used to weather the unit. Two final coats of flat finish have been applied to seal the unit. Microtrains couplers have been installed prior to final assembly. As a last step the wheels have been polished to improve electrical contact an tractive effort. This unit has a Digitrax DN163K1C installed.
